How to choose your
Ceremonial Matcha
How to prepare the Matcha
薄茶 Usucha method the fine and airy way

Preparation
☁️Utensils needed
☁️ A bowl (if possible with spout)
☁️ A spoon (Chashaku)
☁️ A whisk (Chasen)
☁️ A kettle (or a saucepan)
☁️ Quality matcha tea
☁️ A glass

Matcha
☁️The magic powder !
Place a teaspoon of the fine green powder at the bottom of a bowl. Pour 70 ml (about 4 tablespoons) of water that has been heated. Thus, matcha does not participate in cooking and its properties are preserved.
The water should not exceed a temperature of 75°C, at the risk of giving bitterness and not enjoying all the benefits of tea! It should be hot but not burning. Do not use boiling water !

Whip
☁️Make a "M"
Grab the bowl with one hand and whip with the other. The gesture should be energetic and follow a form of M rather than an 8 shape, so as not to have lumps. The whip barely touches the chawan bowl. It doesn’t crash against the edges or the bottom.Once you get a frothy texture, it’s good!

Pour
☁️ To each its own taste!
It’s almost ready! Now you just have pour into a glass and add what you prefer according to your tastes :
☁️Traditional: pour water (never above 80°)
☁️Latte: the milk of your choice
For a refreshing latte you can also put ice cubes and for the gourmands a sweetener, vanilla or whatever you like!

Taste
☁️ Enjoy !
More than to taste and enter gently in a cloud of serenity...
Little tip, with a straw it’s even better!
